In a resounding success, the 4th Cares Expo Taipei, organized by Anke Media, concluded on September 9th, 2023, leaving a significant mark in the global healthcare industry. This year's event attracted a staggering 12,546 visitors over three days,marking a 50 percent increase in visitors compared to the previous year. Notably, the Expo welcomed international visitors from 22 countries, including a delegation from the Vietnam Medical Devices Association.

Expanding its focus from "long-term care" to "home care," the Expo featured four major exhibition clusters - Long-term care, Caretech, Homecare, Health & Wellness. The event also included six theme pavilions, 15 forums with 127 sessions, and hosted over 300 exhibitors. The event showcased an impressive array of diverse healthcare models, integrated solutions, and technological innovations, solidifying its position as a leading platform for the healthcare sector.

Parson Lee, Founder, and CEO of Anke Media and organizer of Cares Expo Taipei expressed the Expo's transformative impact on Taiwan's long-term care industry, acknowledging the dedication of caregivers and professionals in the sector. The Expo garnered praise from international attendees for its vibrant atmosphere, showcasing innovative care models and integrated solutions not seen elsewhere.

This year, Cares Expo Taipei also launched business matchmaking services for exhibitors to network with international buyers from Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Australia, India and South Korea.

" I am satisfied with the advancement int echnology development applied to management and software, I learn a lot from it," said Representative of Binh My Nursing Home from Vietnam. 

Another highlight of the event was the prestigious "Cares Award 2023" presentation ceremony, held on September 9th. Six outstanding products were selected from 61 submissions, receiving accolades from experts and users alike. 

Gathering most major care service providers, Cares Expo Taipei 2023 evolves into premier Asian event

The long-term care market in Taiwan reached a valuation of US$20.6 billion in 2022, underscoring the expo's position as the premier healthcare event in Asia. "Southeast Asia is a hugely untapped market and Taiwan should be the first stop to Southeast Asia area. There's a huge market for us. And I found Taiwanese people are very nice, polite, and open to international business... They give us a lot of ideas," said Srijith Radhakrishnan, Chairman of Squash Apps, the exhibitor in Cares Expo Taipei 2023. 

The Caretech segment of Cares Expo Taipei 2023 showcased technological solutions and devices addressing manpower shortages and enhancing caregiving quality. Artificial Intelligence (AI) emerged as a pivotal element.

Fall detection proved to be the most popular application at the Expo, with Canon presenting two solutions. One is SoundEye from Singapore, which employs camera-free technology incorporating fall detection and audio analytics to identify abnormal movements such as falls and immobile individuals. Another solution from Denmark, Milestone's XProtect Hospital Assist utilizes AIdriven video analytics to heighten staff awareness of abnormal patient behavior, particularly in the context of fall prevention.

Overseas exhibitors like Squash Apps from India presented AI-powered hospital management solutions, while CareFort from Japan showcased a hermetic packing system for used diapers, addressing virus infection concerns in healthcare facilities. DriQ from the US introduced a smart diaper monitoring system, enhancing efficiency in long-term care facilities. Additionally, One Smile Foundation from Japan presented the Smiral program, incorporating smile recognition technology to uplift spirits in care environments.

Cares Expo Taipei 2024 is set to take place from Sept. 12-14 at Hall 1 of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Hall. The expo's legacy continues, fostering connections, encouraging innovation, and promoting excellence in the healthcare industry, making a profound impact on the lives of the elderly and caregivers worldwide.
